Saint Cuthbert High School
This week’s theme was ‘Making a Sacrifice’ and our Enterprise capability was ‘A Can-Do Approach.'
Congratulations to the athletics teams who managed a clean sweep collecting all eleven trophies at the Rochdale annual event. Once again our sporting teams have excelled and made the whole school very proud. Well done everyone.
Our Year 6 Friendship Morning was a busy time for those learners who do not attend one of our partner primary schools. Children from all over the borough came together on Friday to experience a morning at St Cuthbert’s. It was great to see everyone make friends so quickly and learn lots of new things together. We look forward to seeing other Year 6 learners in school on Tuesday 13 July.
Auditions for ‘Cuthbert’s Got Talent’ took place during lunch times this week – the final (to be held next week) will prepare the winning acts to go through to the local area final, ‘Kirkholt’s Got Talent’, on Thursday 8 July.
Study rooms are available for all students who are not in a timetabled GCSE or A level exam. Please note the paved area around the back of the sports hall is not available at breaks and lunch times during the exam period – please use the senior yard, all weather pitch and fields for playing ball games.
Building work to improve the area around the Year 11 Centre and the PLC has begun – please note events cannot take place in the PLC during this last half term. Please liaise with Mrs Moore for an alternative venue.
