Summer Safety Fair at Hopwood Hall College
Hopwood Hall College held two ‘Summer Safety Fairs’ on campus to wish their students a happy but safe summer holiday.
They took place on Tuesday 15 June at the College’s Middleton Campus and on Thursday 17 June at the Rochdale Campus.
Rebecca Murray, ‘Healthy College Coordinator’, explained that “the purpose of the events was to encourage students to get their summer off to a fun but safe start.”
A wide variety of local organisations from the Rochdale and Middleton areas supported the events, including stall holders such as Boots, the NHS Sexual Health Crisis Intervention Team and Contraceptive Services, Oral Health Services, Early Break Young People’s Drug and Alcohol Service, Impact Road Safety, Connexions and Vinvolved.
The organisations provided information about their services and fun activities happening over the summer months. The College organised a Learner Voice competition which gave students the chance to win a state-of-the-art Fuji digital camera.
Boots gave away free fruit, sun cream and holiday checklists at the event.
