'Mudmachines mid-summer madness' to raise money for British Heart Foundation

The 'Mudmachines mid-summer madness' is raising funds for the British Heart Foundation.

After November’s event they raised £3500 for Spring Hill Hospice, though this time everything is bigger and improved are expecting a much bigger event!

The main spectacle is the 'krypton-factor' style assault course that is fully built & ready for the 21 local teams of 4 to compete over for the much coveted mudmachines inter-club challenge trophy.

The course includes a zip line, kayak pond, and other interesting obstacles.

All teams have donated £100 to BHF to enter the competition.

Other things we have going on throughout the day, include a Tug of War competition between the 21 above teams, 4x4 arena demonstrations including vehicle winching and recovery techniques.

There will also be Off-roading, 2 off-road 4x4 courses built and ready for action, one extreme course for 4x4 challenge truck demonstration only, and a slightly less severe course which we will be offering passenger rides around in exchange for a donation towards BHF.

Freestyle moto-x display, two massive jumps (both around 85ft in length), built for our freestyle moto-x display with several displays taking place throughout the day.

There is also live music, with an outdoor stage built and ready for several bands from the Backdoor Project who will be starting around 12:00 and playing all afternoon including acoustic sets.

In the evening we have an indoor stage, for our evening band, DJ disco & laser lightshow.
There is also a prize raffle to win a new 4x4 quad, a fully licensed bar, hot food and drinks from various outlets.

It’s taking place at Top of Croft Farm, Woodhouse Lane, Norden, Rochdale, and begins at 10am on Saturday 19 June.

Entrance is £5 on the gate, and car parking is very limited.
