A car seat safety check taking place
Children and parents at Meanwood Sure Start Children’s Centre had a special visit from David Godley a road safety officer from Rochdale road safety team this week as he came to check car seats for the families of the centre and school. He checked they were fitted correctly and were the right seat for the size and weight of children.
The session was promoting family safety; one of the children’s centre key objectives.
Tracie Taylor, parent empowerment worker said: “This session is held several times a year at various children’s centres throughout the borough. It takes a few minutes to have your car seat checked and have peace of mind. To find out more about where and when the next session is check the children’s centre timetables online.”
The session comes as Rochdale Children’s centres start a whole week of activities for National Child Safety Week.
Meanwood Sure Start Children’s Centre offer a full timetable of events for families with children aged 0 – 5 throughout the week. This is now online at www.rochdale.gov.uk/childrenscentres or call 01706 753240.
