Congratulations to class 5 for winning the excellent behaviour award.
St John’s First Communions will in church at 1pm tomorrow on Sunday 20 June. There are also 4 Baptisms at this special Mass!
Our annual Sports Awards ceremony took place yesterday on Friday 18 June. Thankyou to everyone who took part and thankyou to our honoured guests for joining us, Simon Danczuk MP, The mayor of Rochdale, Sue Eastwood and Trevor Fox from the Rochdale school improvement team, Julie Roberts, Manager of our Sports Partnership and school governors.
Congratulations to Mr and Mrs Hickman who both received awards last Friday at the Sports partnership awards night event. Also congratulations to Beni De Makoso for a thoroughly well deserved nomination.
What’s on in the next few weeks?
• Class 4 at Roman Experience on Tuesday 22 June
• Year 1and 2 trip to the Blue Planet aquarium
• World Cup fund raising day Friday 25t June. Wear your clothes in the colours of the team you support.
• Fencing lessons for Class 4 Tuesday 29 June
• First Communion thanksgiving Mass 9.15am on Wednesday 30 June.
• Year 4 music performance on violins and cellos 1.15pm Thursday 1 July
• Asian Fuzion music jazz performance in the hall 2pm
• School Family Disco – 6 till 8pm Tuesday 6 July
• Classes 3 and 5 to Chester Zoo on Wednesday 7 July
• Leavers’ assembly at 9.15am on Thursday 15 July
• Leavers’ mass at 1.30pm same day as above.
Family Holidays
Thank you for only taking family holidays during school holiday time. No family holidays will be authorised during term time. If your child is off school at any time due to illness then please contact the school office first thing to let us know. Many thanks again.
