St Edwards C of E Primary School
Year 6
Year 6 children have been to Matthew Moss High School today to take part in a music ‘Sing-up’ with some other schools and to take part in various music workshops.
BIKE-IT – Thursdays!
Don’t forget Bike-It Thursdays. Anyone coming to school on their bike will be given a free raffle ticket to go in the draw for a new bike at the end of the year. Those children who come on their bikes on a Thursday can have a free breakfast as long as they are in no later than 8.30am.
If they come on their bike any other day they will be given a raffle ticket but free breakfasts will only be given on a Thursday.
Climb UK
Class 6C went to Climb UK on Tuesday and had a great time. Class 6G are going on Thursday.
Swimming Class 2B are going on a Fun Swim at Castleton Baths on Friday morning.
Diary Date Reception Parents Evening will be on Monday 19 July – more details to follow.
Dinner Money Please send dinner money in on a Monday morning in an envelope with your child’s name and class on. Lunches are £1.70 per day - £8.50 per week. Thank you.
School Meals
Next week we are on Week 3.
Music Lessons
Fees for this half term are £16.20. Please also pay any outstanding fees as soon as possible. These fees need to be paid in order for children to continue with their lessons. Thank you.

Story Sacks – Reception
Children need to get into the routine of bringing the Story Sacks back into school every Wednesday so they can be checked and sent out again the same day.
Knitting Club
The Knitting Club is on Wednesdays at 3.20-4.30pm. Mrs. Taylor would welcome any adults who would like to come along and help.
Football Match
Well done to the football team who won the match against Castleton Primary last week
Sainbury’s Vouchers
These have now finished being issued so please bring any into school as soon as possible.
Summer Fair This year’s Summer Fair is on Friday, 25 June. The teachers will be taking the children round the Year 6 stalls in the afternoon and then the rest of the fair will be open to children and parents from 3.15pm – the children can bring money into school to spend in the afternoon – please make sure it is in a purse or a money bag. Please come along and support the school – this is our main fundraising event and all money raised will go back into school for the benefit of all children.
We are now collecting donations for ‘Good as New’, toys, books, etc.
If anyone has any contacts for donations for our raffle we would really appreciate it.
We will be collecting items for the home-baked/biscuit stall on the Friday morning.
We will be setting up for the Fair from 1.30pm on the day if anyone can help. Also we would appreciate any help at the fair – please let the office know if you are able to help in any way. Thank you.

Fashion Show
Thank you to all those parents who supported this event. The children were brilliant modelling the clothes and all had a great time
Reception
If anyone has some small plastic drinks bottles, Reception are doing messages in bottles to go in their ‘Under the Sea’ role play. Thank you.
Inter-league Gala
Our swimming team did well in the inter-league heats and are now through to the final on Monday 28th June. Good luck to the team
