Family fun at Broadfield Park

Children had their faces painted at Broadfield Park
Families from Sure Start Children’s Centres in the central Rochdale area came together recently to enjoy a picnic at Broadfield Park.
The day included art and crafts and the children enjoyed making puppets and face-painting. There was also lots of fun with ball games, races, parachute games and hoopla.
Newbold, Deeplish, Castlemere, Hamer and Heybrook Children’s Centres joined together for the special day in the sun organised as part of National Family Week.
One participating parent said: “It’s been great; my children have really enjoyed themselves and worn themselves out!”
Staff members all thought the event was a great success and would love to work together as a team again in the future.
