Franja Hairdressing on Yorkshire street, Rochdale, have joined with John Frieda and some of hairdressing’s biggest names to support HAIRraising, a new fundraising appeal that invites the hairdressing community to come together to help raise £1 million towards new operating theatres at Great Ormond Street Hospital.

The operating theatres will be used to help children from all over the UK who require specialist neurosurgery.

To play their part in the fundraising appeal, Franja Hairdressing have organised a human conga line with a difference.

The salon, with the support of shops and businesses from the Rochdale Exchange will be at Hollingworth Lake on Sunday 20 June at 2pm.

Those involved will be tied together dressed in Hawaiian outfits to help raise money for the hospital.

Angela Jacques from Franja, said: “The hairdressing community and the local businesses and shops are coming together to make a difference to children’s lives by helping to build new operating theatres at Great Ormond Street Hospital. We’re really delighted to show our support for such a fabulous cause”

“All of the team and the other town centre businesses want to get behind HAIRraising and show we will go to any lengths to help these children.”
