Garage fire in Middleton

Fire crews were called to a garage fire at a house on Nowell Road, Hollins, Middleton at around 4am this morning (Thursday 10 June 2010).
Fire-fighters were faced with asbestos cement in the garage and spent time decontaminating the area.
Two appliances from Heywood fire station attended the fire where two jets were used.
