Man jailed over sham wedding

An African man living in Rochdale who was caught taking part in a sham wedding at a church in Northampton has been jailed for two years.
Roland Kuku, 31, of Great Bent Close was arrested at St Michael’s Church in Northampton alongside his French bride Marian Drame, 26.
Northampton Crown Court heard Kuka, from Togo, was to pay French teacher Drame £2,000 to marry him so he could remain in England.
They had met three times and could not communicate, the court heard.
Kuku, pleaded guilty to identity and deception charges.
He was in possession of a fake Nigerian passport and a false UK Visa. He faces deportation on his release from jail.
