Healey Primary School
We are absolutely delighted to announce that Healey has successfully achieved SILVER Artsmark status. This is a wonderful recognition of the art, drama and music that happens on a day to day basis. Mrs D’Roza, Mrs Ainley and Mrs Whitworth have worked hard to gather the information together, and the reward is the brilliant kitemark we can now display.
In two weeks we are running another Arts Week where the children will move away from the traditional timetable and take part in art activities with a focus on multicultural art and puppet making. Please keep a look out for posters and flyers about Arts Week events.
Well done to the children who were presented with the Achievement Award on the Friday before the holiday:
- Year 1 Madelynne Roberts
- Year 2 Aimee Hodson
- Year 3 Finlay Hunter
- Year 4 George Boyle
- Year 5 Luke Taylor
- Year 6 Joshua Trewren
Best Class Attendance Award went to Year 4.
Next Thursday (17 June) Year 1 and 2 are off to Eureka for the day.
Tickets for the PTA end of term Leavers Barbecue and Disco on Friday 2 July are selling fast. There is a strict deadline for tickets of Friday 5 June. The PTA are also going to be selling ice cream on various days at the end of school. Helpers gratefully welcomed!
