Sure Start fun at Hollingworth Lake

Children from Littleborough Sure Start Centre at Hollingworth Lake

Families from Littleborough Sure Start Children’s Centre last week enjoyed a trip to Hollingworth Lake as part of National Family Week.

Over 12 children and their parents took part in the event which involved feeding ducks and a picnic followed by playtime.

Katie Hoyle, senior early years worker, said: “The event was really successful and all families enjoyed the walk and the picnic. It was a lovely session and the weather was nice and sunny. We will be doing this again.”

One of the parents praised the day out: “It was brilliant! We had a great time. The walk was just enough for the kids and they really loved feeding the ducks. The picnic was lovely and loads of food.”
