Indoor venues have been announced for this summer’s Rochdale Feel Good Festival. Seven different places will host live music during the event, running on Friday 13 and Saturday 14 August.

The Flying Horse Hotel (Town Hall Square), Mango (King Street), Touchstones (The Esplanade) and Bar 5 (South Parade) will all stage free live music during the event.

Three new venues for this year will be the Litten Tree on Fleece Street, the East Bar and Club on South Parade and Coast (above East) which will host a ‘Feel Good - Battle of the Bands’ competition on Saturday 10 July, with the winner being selected to open the main stage.

The Lightning Seeds headline on Saturday evening, alongside The Herbaliser and Kirsty Almeida plus many other artists. Celebrity chef Gino D’Acampo is confirmed as one of three star chefs set to appear in the festivals celebrity kitchen sponsored by Love Food Hate Waste.

The countdown for the festival kicks off on Saturday 17 July, when singing sensation Catherine Tyldesley and acclaimed soul vocalist Larry Edwards appear at a special Motown Night at the Heywood Civic Centre.
