Pennine Trust film on YouTube

Date published: 07 June 2010

The Pennine Acute Trust has launched a promotional video about its proposal to become an NHS Foundation Trust via video-sharing website YouTube.

The five-minute promotional short film lists the achievements of the organisation and includes interviews with staff. Its aim is to boost recruitment and raise awareness of the scheme.

“Building on our progress over the last few years, we believe the time is right for the Trust to become an NHS Foundation Trust. We will have more freedom to work with local people to better understand what you and your family want, what you need, and what you expect from your hospitals," said John Jesky, Chairman of The Pennine Acute Hospitals NHS Trust.

“Local patients, public and staff can become members of the Trust and also stand for election as hospital governors for the first time under these proposals. We want you to have a greater say in how your hospitals are run.”

The Pennine Acute Trust runs Rochdale Infirmary, Fairfield General Hospital in Bury, North Manchester General Hospital, and The Royal Oldham Hospital.

Membership is free and open to anyone aged 14 and over. The film is available on YouTube by searching Pennine Acute Trust.
