Greek IT lecturer Ioannis Ntizoglou
Just eight years ago Ioannis Ntizoglou was the novice student learning English. Now he is a lecturer of IT at Hopwood Hall College.
He arrived from Athens, the Greek capital, in July 2002 and enrolled on an English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) course at Hopwood Hall.
He progressed so well that he soon went on to do a course in Computer Literacy and Information Technology (CLAIT), a nationally-recognised award.
He was offered a part-time job in the IT department in 2007 whilst studying for a Certificate in Education to become a fully qualified lecturer.
He is now a full-time lecturer in IT. “Studying ESOL at Hopwood Hall College really helped me on my way into a new job and a new life in a different country,” he said.
