Woman on her way to work on a bicycle
The GM Work Place Challenge is encouraging as many people as possible in Greater Manchester to cycle to work.
The aim is for businesses across the area to challenge their employees to ride a bike for at least 10 minutes between Monday 7 June and Sunday 27 June.
The scheme emphasises that it is not just about cycling to work or cycling the most miles: “People can ride wherever they feel comfortable and at anytime over the Challenge. It's all about getting more people to experience and remember how fun and easy cycling can be.”
The initiative has been organised by Cycle GM, which will also offer skills and maintenance sessions to those interested.
