Springhill Hospice Summer Gala Day and Fair

Date published: 02 June 2010

This year Springhill Hospice is inviting people to attend a Summer Gala Day and Fair in place of their traditional Spring Fair.

The fair will take place at the Hospice on Broad Lane, Rochdale between 10:00am and 3:00pm on Sunday 27th June.

As with previous fairs there will be the usual stalls and games inside the Hospice but with added outside including a bouncy castle, coconut shy, pot shy and many others.

Ian Jenkins, Springhill Hospice Fundraising Manager, says, “We generally try to have a Spring Fair before Easter but this year it would have fallen too close to last year’s Christmas Fair, so we decided to move the date of the fair and make it a bigger event by using the beautiful Hospice grounds.

“Of course we are still relying on the marvelous generosity of supporters and friends who donate many gifts to the fairs and, once again, we require good quality items of jewellery, toiletries, CDs, DVDs, plants, craft items, books, bric-a-brac, toys, games, tombola and raffle prizes, and, in particular, home-made cakes and pastries.

“Donations for the Summer Fair can be delivered to Hospice Reception or can be collected by telephoning the Hospice Fundraising Office on 01706 649920 during office hours. Unfortunately, electrical goods can not be accepted.”

Entry to the Springhill Hospice Summer Gala Day and Fair is free and a free Park & Ride service will again be run from Springhill High School to and from the Hospice as car park space at the Hospice will be extremely limited.
