Man in critical condition following collision

A man is in a critical condition in hospital after a collision in Rochdale.
Just before 12.20am on Saturday (29 May 2010), a Renault Clio collided with a pedestrian on St Mary's Gate, Rochdale, just past the junction with Whitworth Road.
The 30-year-old man was taken to hospital suffering serious head injuries and he remains in a critical condition.
The driver of the Clio was not injured.
The road was closed for a short time while the incident was dealt with.
