Chart toppers ‘The Lightning Seeds’ will headline the main stage at the Rochdale Feel Good Festival this summer.
Best known for classic hits such as ‘Pure’, ‘The Life of Riley’, ‘You showed me’, ‘Lucky you’, ‘Sugar coated iceberg’, ‘Perfect’ and ‘Three Lions,’ they’ll appear on the main stage on Saturday 14 August.
Last month they teamed up with Robbie Williams, Russell Brand, Frank Skinner and David Baddiel to release a re-vamped version of their football anthem ‘Three Lions’, ahead of the World Cup Finals in South Africa, which shot straight into the top 10 UK singles chart.
The Lightning Seeds, one of the most prominent bands of the 1990’s will also appear on the main stage at the famous Glastonbury Festival before their visit to Rochdale.
‘The Very Best of the Lightning Seeds’ album was released in 2006 and they are recognised as having produced some of the catchiest, happiest and celebratory pop songs of all time.
The Lightning Seeds, fronted by Ian Broudie (pictured) will be joined by previously announced band ‘The Herbaliser’ and rapidly rising pop singer Kirsty Almeida, with other acts to be confirmed in the next few days.
The Rochdale Feel Good Festival will be staged on Friday 13 and Saturday 14 August.
