BIKE-IT – Thursdays!
Don’t forget Bike-It Thursdays. Anyone coming to school on their bike will be given a free raffle ticket to go in the draw for a new bike at the end of the year. Those children who come on their bikes on a Thursday can have a free breakfast as long as they are in no later than 8.30am.

If they come on their bike any other day they will be given a raffle ticket but free breakfasts will only be given on a Thursday.

Robinwood Some of our children and three members of staff have gone on an adventure weekend to Robinwood in Todmorden.

Dinner Money Please send dinner money in on a Monday morning in an envelope with your child’s name and class on. Lunches are £1.70 per day - £8.50 per week. Thank you.

New Menus We are now on the new Spring /Summer menus.
After half term we are on Week 1.

Music Lessons
Fees for this half term are £16.20. Please also pay any outstanding fees as soon as possible. These fees need to be paid in order for children to continue with their lessons. Thank you.

Tesco Vouchers
These have now finished so please send any vouchers into school as soon as possible. Thank you.

Golf Lessons A reminder that Golf lessons have now started on Mondays from 3.20-4.20pm. Lessons are £1.

Reception Trip
This week our Reception children went on a trip to Smithills Farm. The children had a wonderful time and were extremely well behaved 

Fashion Show The PTA/Friends of St. Edwards is holding a Fashion Show by ‘Brats Childrenswear’ on 9th June at 6.30pm. We now have enough children to model the clothes – thank you. Admission is £1 for adults which includes a raffle ticket, a drink and a biscuit. More raffle tickets will be available to buy on the night. There will be no charge for children. The clothes will be available to buy on the night either by cash or card (minimum spend £10). The clothes are good quality, at discount prices and school will receive a small percentage of sales which will go back into school funds.

Cricket Tournament On Tuesday 8th June the cricket team are taking part in a tournament at Milnrow Cricket Club. Good luck to the team.

Football Match
On Wednesday 9 June the football team have a match at school against Castleton Primary. Good luck to the team.

Summer Fair This year’s Summer Fair is on Friday, 25 June. The teachers will be taking the children round the fair in the afternoon and then the fair will be open to parents from 3.15pm – the children can bring money into school to spend in the afternoon – please make sure it is in a purse or a money bag. Please come along and support the school – this is our main fundraising event and all money raised will go back into school for the benefit of all children.

After half term we will be collecting donations for ‘Good as New’, toys, books, etc.

If anyone has any contacts for donations for our raffle we would really appreciate it.

Non-Uniform
On Friday 11 June, we are having a non-uniform day. The theme is Red, White and Blue and we are asking children for donations of chocolate or bottles for our Summer Fair. Thank you.

French Week
After half term Year 6 are having a French week which will include a French Café and a Chef coming in to cook with the children.

Half Term School closes on Friday 28 May at the normal time for one week until Monday 7 June.
