Three-year-old boy badly hurt in car crash

A three-year-old boy from Rochdale is in a serious condition in hospital after being hit by a car last night (Friday 21 May).
Police said the boy was at the junction of Bishop Street and Cook Street when he was hit by a red Renault Megane.
He suffered a compound fracture to his left leg and a head injury and is in Royal Oldham Hospital, where his condition is described as serious.
Greater Manchester Police have appealed for witnesses.
