BIKE-It – Thursdays
Don’t forget Bike-It Thursdays. Anyone coming to school on their bike will be given a free raffle ticket to go in the draw for a new bike at the end of the year. Those children who come on their bikes on a Thursday can have a free breakfast as long as they are in no later than 8.30am. If they come on their bike any other day they will be given a raffle ticket but free breakfasts will only be given on a Thursday.
Dinner Money
Please send dinner money in on a Monday morning in an envelope with your child’s name and class on. Lunches are £1.70 per day - £8.50 per week. Thank you.
New Menus We are now on the new Spring /Summer menus. Next week is Week 3.
Music Lessons
Fees for this half term are £16.20. Please also pay any outstanding fees as soon as possible. These fees need to be paid in order for children to continue with their lessons. Thank you.
Well Done
Well done to our rounders and handball teams who did really well representing our school at these events.
Swimming Gala Our Year 5/6 swimming team are taking part in a Swimming Gala on Monday 3-4pm. The swimming team have been notified. Good Luck.
Doorstep Project
This will be at Kingsland Common on Fridays 3.30-5.30pm offering FREE different indoor and outdoor activities.
Stars of the Week
This week’s Stars of the Week for are: Joshua McLawrence RP; Holly Howarth RP; Esme Andrew 1P; Taylor Chambers 1P; Haider Nazar 1B; Daniel Whittaker 1B; Joshua Power 2B; Ethan Steel 2G; Bradley Drinkwater 3D; Kyle Pollitt 3L; Lucas Culshaw 4S; Jack Langton 4S; Aslan Shoukat 4P; Jamie Melville 4P; Shane Simpson 5F; Clarissa Street 5F and Kyle Wilcock 6C. Class 5S got a class certificate for their poetry. Well done.
Golf Lessons
A reminder that Golf lessons have now started on Mondays from 3.20-4.20pm. Lessons are £1.
Reception Trip On Tuesday 25 May Reception are going on a trip to Smithills Farm.
Year 2 Trip
On Wednesday 26 May Year 2 are going on a trip to Manchester Museum.
Fashion Show
The PTA/Friends of St. Edwards are holding a Fashion Show by ‘Brats Childrenswear’ on 9th June at 6.30pm. We need a mix of 25 boys and girls to model the clothes. The models will have to be back in school by 5.30pm on the night. We are short of male models from Years 2-5 if anyone is interested – please give your name into the school office – names will then be picked out of a hat and permission slips will be sent out next week.
Summer Fair This year’s Summer Fair is on Friday, 25 June. The teachers will be taking the children round the fair in the afternoon and then the fair will be open to parents from 3.15pm – the children can bring money into school to spend in the afternoon – please make sure it is in a purse or a money bag. Please come along and support the school – this is our main fundraising event and all money raised will go back into school for the benefit of all children.
After half term we will be collecting donations for ‘Good as New’, toys, books, etc.
If anyone has any contacts for donations for our raffle we would really appreciate it.
Tesco Vouchers
These have now finished so please send any vouchers into school as soon as possible. Thank you.
