Maths Challenge
Last week Mr Hill accompanied four of our Year 10 Mathematicians to Bury College to take part in the Maths Challenge. Out of the 13 schools that entered Oulder Hill did superbly. Not only did they win the aerodynamics section of the competition, they also came third overall, which is a fantastic achievement. Congratulations to Victoria Beadling, Owen Camps, Emily Isaac and Liam Robinson.

Dance Showcase
Oulder Hill hosted their annual ‘Dance Showcase’ on Thursday 6th May in the Gracie Fields Theatre. The show contained work from pupils from all year groups and featured performances from GCSE & A level pupils. The show had a diverse range of dance styles on offer, such as Hip Hop, Contemporary, Disco, Folk and Street dance. This showcase is a wonderful way for the pupils to show off all the hard work that they put into their dancing and it was brilliant that we had such a large audience to see the very talented dancers that we have here at Oulder Hill. Both Mrs Royle and Miss Bold are very proud of all the performers and would like to congratulate all the pupils for making the event such a success.

Year 12 Study Leave
Please note that Year 12 students have now started study leave to prepare for their AS exams. They will return to school after these have finished, on Monday 21st June. We would like to wish all our students that will be taking exams in the coming weeks all the very best.

LRC Football Prediction
For the whole of the football season the Learning Resource Centre has been running a competition to see who can correctly predict the scores of matches. The winner was James Haigh from Year 8 with a total of 779 points. Second was Waqas Shabir from Year 7 closely followed in third spot by Jamie Williams from Year 7. Well done to these students and to all other competitors.
