Middleton man charged with department store stabbing

A Middleton man has been charged in connection with a stabbing at a Manchester department store.
At 3.30pm on Wednesday 12 May, officers attended House of Fraser and discovered a 39-year-old staff member had been stabbed, in the menswear section in the basement of the store by another employee.
He was taken to hospital for treatment to wounds to his back, neck and chest. He remains in a stable condition.
Adrian Shaw, 20, of West Green, Middleton, has been charged with attempted murder and possessing an offensive weapon.
He is due to appear at Manchester City Magistrates' Court on Friday 14 May.
