A man was hit with a gun after going to meet someone in Milnrow.

The victim, aged 22, went to collect someone at Littleborough Cricket Club shortly before 10pm on Wednesday 12 May 2010.

He attended but drove off in his car after being approached by a group of men.

The offenders followed him in a Volkswagen Golf and rammed his car, prompting him to get out and run off.

He was chased by the offenders, who caught up to him and assaulted him with a gun.

He was driven back to his house on Hurstead Road by the attackers, who stole a barbecue from his car as well as cash and a mobile from him.

Once at his address a Nintendo Wii was stolen before the men drove off.

The victim suffered facial injuries but refused to go to hospital.

Inquiries are continuing.
