Date published: 29 April 2010
Previously a response Inspector, Inspector Stephen Clarke joins Sergeants Carl O’Brien and Colin Macdiarmid to cover the Bamford, Healey, Norden, town centre, central and Spotland and Falinge areas. He replaces Inspector Lin Houldershaw.
Inspector Clarke has been a police officer for 19 years and had previously worked in Oldham and North Manchester before joining Rochdale Division five years ago. He said: “I decided to take on the role of Neighbourhood Inspector because I saw it as a new challenge which would allow me to build on the area’s success and develop it for the future.
“Neighbourhood Policing is essential to policing as it’s a way of showing the community that we are out there listening to their concerns. As part of our commitment to the Policing Pledge I will be listening to the concerns of the community and work to resolve the problems in the area and it make a safer for everyone.
“I look forward to the challenges ahead and will continue to work with the local community and partners such as the council, housing associations and community leaders and associations in the area.”
Off duty Inspector enjoys playing football, cycling, walking and spending time with friends and family.
