New sergeant joins Pennine policing team

Date published: 29 April 2010

Sergeant Craig Mayberry joins Inspector Jem Davies to cover the Littleborough Lakeside, Wardle and West Littleborough, Smallbridge and Firgrove and Milnrow and Newhey areas. He replaces Sergeant Joanne Reid who has taken on a new role at the sex offender management unit based on North Manchester Division.

He spent seven years as a member of the Royal Engineers before joining Greater Manchester Police, where he has served as a police officer for 14 years. He said: “I am looking forward to the many challenges that lie ahead and working together with the local community and partners such as the council, housing associations and community leaders and associations in the area. The Policing Pledge is our commitment to keep your neighbourhood safe from harm, we will be listening to your concerns and work to resolve the issues affecting you the most.”

Off duty Sgt Mayberry enjoys spending time with family and friends, watching films and sport and playing golf.

He joins the team alongside new police community support officer Rachael Reynolds and Paul Brown.

Residents are reminded of the mobile police surgeries that are held every Saturday at locations across the Neighbourhood. For more information contact the Littleborough Neighbourhood Policing Team on 0161 856 4556 or email penninepartnership@gmp.police.uk
