Falinge Park High School
Next week sees us embark on our special English and Arts Week which includes plenty of activities, workshops and clubs through each day from 7.45am until 8.30pm. Sessions include Manga Art workshops and Storytelling workshops and the opportunity to 'Transform Your Teacher!' Every pupil has been issued with a special edition Arts College Newsletter which covers the events of the week.
Events during the week include a Performance Poetry workshop, a Music composition workshop and a fantastic Dance workshop. There are also lots of opportunities to watch a range of films at lunchtime and after school.
Every pupil in school will be issued with a great English and Arts College bookmark and there are ten designs to collect through great work and effort in your English lessons during the week. There are also plenty of prizes and badges available.
Pupils in years 7, 8 and 9 are expected to participate in at least one activity and older pupils are welcome to get involved. It is important that pupils return their reply forms (found on the back of the newsletter) as soon as possible to their form tutor so that they can be registered for an event.
Pupils who attend one of the special breakfast clubs available should report to Reception at the correct time.
As part of English and Arts Week we have a special Family Quiz Night on Thursday 6 May from 7.00pm until 8.30pm and letters have been sent out to every pupil. The cost of the event is £8.00 for a team of four. Please send your reply forms to the CEPA Office via pupils as soon as possible. There are some great prizes up for grabs!
