Healey Primary School
Parents are reminded that school is closed on Monday for the May bank holiday. If you pay dinner money weekly please send the correct amount (£6.80) on Tuesday.
Children in Years 3,4 and 5 will be completing their SATs assessments on return to school. The position for Year 6 pupils is to assume that the SATs are going ahead as normal, and these will start next week – week beginning 10th May. Assessments will go ahead irrespective of the tests so children should continue to follow the revision guides.
Friday 7th May is a non uniform day also. We are taking part in ‘Wear What U Want Day’ in aid of the new Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital. This is the largest non uniform day in the North West of England.
The proposed visit to Middleton CLC with a group from Shawclough School has been postponed until the 11th May. Details about the day will be given to the children concerned.
Well done to the children who were presented with the Achievement Cup last week:

Year 2: Christopher Pickup
Year 3: Bethany Richards
Year 4: Christopher Hoyle
Year 5: Georgia Busfield
Year 6: Callum Burton and Annabella Hill-Metcalfe.
Year 6 started the term well by having 100% attendance for the first week, closely followed by Year 5. Well done to all the children.
Well done too to the children who were presented with the Achievement Award on 26th March and missed from the bulletin at Easter;
Reception: Jake Cooper
Year 1: Mia Forden
Year 2: Samer Qureshi
Year 3: Shauna Atherton
Year 4: George Boyle
Year 5: Georgia Busfield
Year 6: Kimberley Ward
The Robinwood trip was an enormous success. The children thoroughly enjoyed the activities at the new Dobroyd Centre – especially the zip wire and trapeze where even Mr Armstrong had nervous knees!
And finally a HUGE thank you for the support for Jane Hughes (Millie’s Mum) who ran the London Marathon on behalf of Derian House and the Haemophilia Society. The non uniform day raised £300 which will be added to a total of almost £2,000 raised by Mrs Hughes.
