Rochdale’s beauty salons support the next generation
The Image Salon in Hopwood Hall College held their first Employer Forum event at the College’s Top Tier Grill.
Local salons involved in the evening were Natalia’s, Style, Preview, Blow Your Top, Just Lisa’s, Chloe Victoria, The Temple and The Barbers Shop.
The salon owners were given a variety of innovative presentations which explained to them how they can get involved in supporting the next generation of hairdressers and beauty therapists.
The event was followed by a buffet with an opportunity for industry professionals and teaching staff from Hopwood Hall to discuss their recruitment needs and to build up strong relationships for the future of the Borough.
A spokeswoman said: "Hopwood Hall College is in an ideal position to support local salons in the delivery of the Diploma Programme, Modern Apprenticeships and short courses to keep abreast of the ever changing health and beauty industry.
"All who attended were keen to offer their support to ensure young people in the Borough of Rochdale have the best chance of securing work in the sector."
