New guide to Littleborough and Pennine Edge launched

It’s a beautiful destination combining breathtaking scenery and some of the finest landscapes in Britain, with fantastic opportunities for sport, relaxation and discovery.

Now visitors to Littleborough and the Pennine Edge can get the most out of their visit with a new leaflet and map published by Rochdale Borough Council to help organise the perfect stay.

The free full colour detailed map of the area, highlights key points of interest, together with a summary of some of the ‘must see’ attractions.

The map, which folds to A5 provides a brief history of local towns and villages and outlines some of the best walking routes for taking in the areas hills, reservoirs, canals, moorland, valleys and amazing scenery.

Hollingworth Lake is also featured, and there are lots of tips for making the most of your stay, including essential travel information and the key contacts to make sure you don’t miss anything the Pennines have to offer.

Helena Kelly from the Pennines Township said the guide will help everyone to explore the countryside and attractions on their doorstep this summer:

“We’ve put together some of the best walks and hand picked some of our most popular attractions.

Free copies of ‘Littleborough and the Pennine Edge’ are available from Tourist Information Centre’s, libraries, hotels and guest houses, visitor attractions and train stations.
