Junior Wardens help out in the community

Junior Wardens at work!
A junior warden scheme was launched at Freehold by Rochdale Boroughwide Housing last week.
The Junior Warden scheme aims to get young people to take an active, hands-on role in protecting the areas in which the live and in turn helping make a better, safer community.
In the week, the Junior Wardens helped out with litter picking on the estate and did some gardening.
As rewards for their work, they got to take part in multi-sport events, visited the local fire station and had a party.
The hope is that the events will encourage more young people to join the weekly Junior Warden club.
This is held on Wednesdays from 4 - 5.30pm, based at Freehold Community Centre, starting April 28.
