Running the London Marathon on Sunday

Gwen Diggle, Brass Instructor at Wardle High School is running the London Marathon on Sunday.
So far Ms Diggle has raised £2,600 for Action Research with the help and support of Wardle High School. The school held a non-uniform day the week before Easter and raised a £1,000.
Ms Diggle also held Bring a Bear day in two feeder primary school where she teaches. St James Primary & Kentmere raised another £500 by children bringing in school their teddy bears. Gwen took Paddington Bear the Action Research Mascot to visit all the schools involved in fundraising. She has also done car boot sales, chocolate tombolas and raffles as well as family and friends sponsoring her.
Ms Diggle has had a knee injury for 6 weeks which stopped her from training properly but with hard work and determination she's managed to run too Todmorden and back to Littleborough, 16 miles, and a few other long runs all round Rochdale, Castleton, Heywood and Norden.
Ms Diggle's dad, partner, son, sisters and family members are traveling to London to support her on route. Ms Diggle lost her mum two months ago.
Ms Diggle says: "I know she would be very proud of me for my hard work and efforts and managing to raise so much money for charity".
