Cookery Club All the places are now filled. If your child has a place they will have received a letter. We will be starting another group after half term and letters will go out to those children who will be starting then – there is no need to re-apply.

fones4schools We are starting our 3rd campaign to collect unwanted mobile phones for recycling. Your child will have received a leaflet today regarding prizes. Phones need to be brought in a plastic bag with the attached leaflet.

New Menus We are now on the new Spring menus.
Next week is Week 2.

Help!
Reception are collecting unwanted comics and magazines for the children to use in our book corner. Any donations will be gratefully received. Please ensure that any comics or magazines sent in are suitable for KS1 children. Thank you.

Bike-it – Thursdays!
Bike-It is every Thursday. Anyone who comes to school on their bike will be given a free raffle ticket which will go into the raffle for a new bike at the end of the year. On a Thursday, children who come on their bikes can have a free breakfast as long as they are in school no later than 8.30am. If they come on their bike any other day they will be given a raffle ticket but free breakfasts will only be given on a Thursday.

Music Lessons This half term’s music fees are now due - £16.20. Please also pay any outstanding fees as soon as possible. These fees need to be paid in order for children to continue with their lessons.

Water Polo As part of Year 4 swimming, some pupils are taking part in a water polo competition on Wednesday at Castleton Baths. Unfortunately due to lack of space, spectators are not allowed. Good luck to the children.

Fashion Show The PTA/Friends of St. Edwards are holding a Fashion Show by ‘Brats Childrenswear’ on 9th June at 6.30pm. We will need a mix of 25 boys and girls to model the clothes. The models will have to be back in school by 5.30pm on the night. If your child is interested, please give their name into the school office – names will then be picked out of a hat! More details and permission slips will be going out at a later date.

Castleton Children’s Centre ‘Stay and Play Sessions’ here at St. Edward’s on Wednesday mornings 9am-10.15am.
There is no charge for these sessions.

St. Aidan’s Spring Fair
This Saturday, 24 April in St. Aidan’s Church Hall 11am-1pm. Everyone welcome. Entrance 50p. There are lots of stalls including Tombola, Chocolate Tombola, Raffle, Homebake, Toys, Games. Books, Bottles, Refreshments, etc.

Nearly New Sale
This Saturday 24 April 1-3pm at Champness Hall, Drake Street, Rochdale, OL16 1PB.
Admission 50p. Do you have new or good-as-new baby or pre-school toys, equipment and clothes that your child has grown out of? Why not sell them at the NCT nearly New Sale? Or just go along and pick up a bargain. For more information contact littleboroughnns@hotmail.co.uk or 08442436233
