Healey Primary School
Welcome back to the new school term. The Robinwood group have had a good week and thankfully the weather has been kind.
Year 1 children have the opportunity to join in an after school fitness club “Active Kids” for the next few Thursdays. The club will be a taster for a new Active Kids keep fit programme. On Tuesday there is the celebration event for Year 4 Healthy Lifestyles event. Parents are welcome to attend.
Next Wednesday is the first of the Parent Mornings (9.15am – 11.15am) being held by the Parenting Team. These are informal mornings and are an opportunity to chat with other parents in a relaxed atmosphere, sharing ideas and stories. Parents are able to bring younger brothers and sisters along. The meetings will be in the Junior Room at the back of the school.
On Thursday afternoon Year 6 will be walking down to Falinge High School for a Science lesson. The children will be back home in time for the end of school. Then on Friday Year 2 to Year 5 School Council representatives along with the ECO Team are joining with friends from Shawclough Primary School to create a short DVD about our school environment band the wider school community. They will be doing this at Middleton CLC.
Don’t forget we have a long weekend next week. School is closed for May Day on Monday 3rd May. Parents are reminded that all children will be taking part in tests and assessments in that week.
Well done to the following children who were presented with the Achievement Award on Friday 26 March.
