Fitness and healthy living open day
Date published: 19 April 2010
Following the Wardleworth survey for community centres, which was carried out earlier this year, showing that there was a keen interest from locals in fitness and healthy living, an open day was held at Wardleworth Community Centre.
The event promoted cycling for pleasure, health and wellbeing as well as giving the locals the opportunity to receive a general health check. Approximately a hundred residents attended; at least 40 people received a health check and there was interest in setting up cycling groups.
