Make a stand for mental health
Date published: 26 August 2009
Each October World Mental Health week raises public awareness of mental health. With a theme of Get Moving – Make a Stand for Mental Health, Rochdale and District Mind have organised a family fun day on 9 October.
The festivities and celebrations begin at the Butts, and a 3.5 mile sponsored walk around Rochdale town centre will begin at 12pm.
Terry Thorp, Business Manager of Rochdale and District Mind, said: “I’d like to invite everyone to come along and have a great family day out; we also hope the people of Rochdale will take up the challenge to join us in the sponsored walk, to raise awareness of mental health.”
If you’d like to take part in the sponsored walk around the town please complete the form below and drop off your entry at the Comple@t cafés in Middleton Fountain Street) and Rochdale (Nye Bevan House, Maclure Road) or at Morrelli’s café in the Exchange Shopping Centre in Rochdale.
