Team building with 277 years of loyalty

Date published: 02 October 2007

Twenty two members of staff attended the 2007 Annual Loyalty Training Day, with the total number of years worked for the company totalling 277 years.

Dave Stafford, Chairman commented: “We have a fantastic team here at All-In-One and it is a great pleasure to reward the loyalty, dedication and hard work that our staff put into the business.”

The itinerary for the day included a very early start from the Middleton based store with a stop off for breakfast upon arrival in Wales. The group was then taken to the Tree Top Adventure in Betws-Y-Coed for the start of the team building exercises.

After a gruelling few hours climbing trees, encouraging their colleagues to overcome their fears and basically having a great time, the group departed and enjoyed a tour and lunch at Bodnant Gardens.

Following lunch, the group stopped at two local Garden Centres for a tour and to gain inspiration from other Garden Centres to help improve and develop the already high standards delivered at All-In-One Garden Centre.

With a quick change and celebratory glass of champagne the team travelled to Cheshire for an Oriental Meal, allowing the team to discuss their own personal highlights from the day, along with the aches and pains from tree climbing!

Mr Stafford added: “On return to work the team are buzzing with tales from the day but they all feel a real sense of achievement. It was fascinating to watch the Tree Climbing exercise as it brought out some key skills within the team such as strong leadership, team building and coaching.”
