Have yourself a crunch-busting Christmas
Date published: 25 March 2009
Bowlee Park Housing will be giving consumers in the Langley area top saving tips for a credit crunch busting Christmas this year.
On average Christmas costs a whopping £600 per family in the UK, which can have a significant affect on people’s financial health long after the Christmas pudding has been polished off.
The Save Xmas course, which includes presentations on how to be a savvy Christmas saver will be given at Langley Children’s centre on Windermere Road on Monday (30 March) at 2.30pm.
The course lasts an hour and is free to attend and will explain what people can do to save for Christmas.
Sharon Thomas, Community Initiative Team Leader for Bowlee Park Housing said: “Lots of people in Langley are struggling to make ends meet as rising food and fuel prices hit home.
“Good advice about savings for Christmas is more important than ever. These workshops can help make sure residents have a happy Christmas by saving sensibly for all the extra expenses."
