Noorul ready to come out in the wash

Date published: 25 March 2009

Apprentice fans will get a first look at Rochdale's candidate Noorul Choudhury in action tonight.

The first episode of the new series sees the Rochdale science teacher and his colleagues get their hands dirty in order to get things clean.

The challenge may not suit Mr Choudhury, who prides himself on his immaculate appearance, but he will have to cast his looks aside if he is to avoid the chop in the first show.

The candidates will be armed with a bucket and sponge and told to start a cleaning company and turn a profit within eight hours.

The male and female candidates compete against each other, determining where to go, what to clean and how much to charge. Tempers soon flare and there is a chaos as the two teams look to avoid a fateful meeting with Sir Alan Sugar.

The winning team gets to check out their new home, a luxury penthouse suite with more than 10,000 square feet of modern living space, while the losers are left to battle it out in the boardroom. In the end, someone will be in the firing line.

Will Mr Choudhury be the first to hear the infamous words 'You're fired'?

The Apprentice airs on BBC One at 9pm tonight.
