Newhey prepares for new fashion warehouse
Date published: 25 March 2009
The developers behind a proposed fashion warehouse distribution centre in Newhey are confident that the project will get the go ahead from Council planners.
A planning application has been submitted by Lloyd Fraser Logistics to change the use of an existing warehouse on Ogden Lane.
The new warehouse could generate up to 20 local jobs for staff and drivers.
The warehouse would take deliveries from a number of high street fashion labels and then distribute them to stores across the country, with drivers heading along Huddersfield Road to get to the M62 between 4am and 6am and returning between 11am and 4pm.
