Bunch brave weather for fundraising mission
Date published: 16 March 2009

Using their initiative: Leanne Jones, Eleanor Morgan, Megan Knox, Laura Chadwick and Laura Niven
This brave bunch set out in the wind and rain last week to sell cakes in aid of Comic Relief.
The five girls, from Crossgates Primary School, Milnrow, decided they would take it on themselves to make cakes and red nose badges, which they could then sell to neighbours.
Leanne Jones, Eleanor Morgan, Megan Knox, Laura Chadwick and Laura Niven were all happy when their hard work paid off, and they gathered £82 on Sunday afternoon (8 March).
Their school is also raising money with a quiz night, netball match between teachers and pupils, 3-legged race, t-shirt making, and talent show.
