Arsonists torched a derelict school in an early morning attack.
Approximately 30 fire fighters were called out from Heywood, Bury, Chadderton and Blackley to tackle the flames which took hold of the former Langley Primary School, Thrilmere Drive, Middleton, early yesterday morning (Thursday 12 March).
Building inspectors have been on site to assess the safety of the building after the roof partially caved in.
Thankfully no-one was hurt in the fire, which was started deliberately at around 6am.
Investigations are ongoing.
