Joyriding message for teens
Date published: 12 March 2009
Rochdale Council have requested copies of a road safety DVD published by York newspaper 'The Press'.
The paper created its 'Live Now Drive Later' DVD after an inquest in York heard how joyriding led to three teenagers being killed in a head on collision.
The film carries interviews with those that were affected by the incident and a short dramatic feature about a teen that ends up with horrific injuries after stealing a car and crashing it.
The Press has received requests for the DVD from councils, fire services and road safety groups across the country; a list which includes Rochdale Council.
