Give a helping hand to the Spring Fair

Date published: 11 March 2009

Organisers of the Springhill Hospice Spring Fair, which takes place at the Hospice on Sunday 5th April from 10:00am until 3:00pm, are asking that anybody wishing to donate goods should please contact them as soon as possible.

Ian Jenkins, Fundraising Manager at the Hospice, says, “The success of our Fairs owes a great deal to the amount of items donated to them and, of course, the quality of those items.

"Last year we raised a phenomenal amount at both our Spring and Christmas Fairs and it never fails to amaze me how the local community really get behind the events.

Mr Jenkins added: “Entry to the fair is completely free, but donations would be very much appreciated.

"In addition, as parking at the Hospice is at a premium, visitors to the Fair should take advantage of the free Park & Ride facility operated on the day by Options Coaches.

“This regular bus service runs to and from Springhill High School Car Park and the Hospice for the duration of the Fair".

Anybody wishing to donate goods should take them direct to the Hospice on Broad Lane, or contact the Fundraising Office on 01706 649920 to arrange a convenient time for collection.
