Bizarre: The mystery 'smiley' which came out of a cash machine on Friday
We don’t always get something happy when we visit the cash machine.
But one woman from Rochdale was stunned when she visited hers – as her receipt had printed nothing but a mysterious smiley face.
The woman, who is a message board member on Rochdale Online, visited the Tesco cash machine last Friday when it randomly gave her a bizarre ‘happy face’.
The woman has said she would prefer to stay anonymous, but now wonders is she is some sort of lucky winner, and is appealing through Rochdale Online to see is anyone has a logical explanation.
She said: “I put it in my pocket and didn’t think more of it for a bit and then it popped into my head that I might have been the millionth customer, or maybe I’d won lots of money in an RBS competition.
“I don’t really believe it is anything other than perhaps a print error or something, but money is tight, so I have been carrying it around hopefully that some day I will read something about a new competition and an unclaimed “ticket” in Rochdale”.
The message board member, known as Debutante, added: “It has turned into a sort of lucky talisman for me.
“I just thought maybe some forum member might be able to put me out of my misery and tell me what it was”.
