Model students make the difference for college campaign

For a second year running Hopwood Hall College has used its own students for its promotional campaign rather than using models and stock photographs.
The college held auditions for students who wanted to be the Face of Hopwood '09, and whittled down the applicants based not just on their looks, but also their personality and enthusiasm, until they were left with a final 11 students.
A spokesperson for the College said: “The idea was put into practice last year as an exercise in truthful advertising and proved extremely popular.”
The lucky 11 were collected from the Middleton and Rochdale college campuses by luxurious stretch limousine, and whisked away to a VIP photo shoot in a top Manchester studio.
Each of the Hopwood models had their hair and make-up done by the expert in-house team, who have previously worked on famous magazine shoots, fashion shows and TV programmes.
The students were snapped by two top photographers and the resulting images will be used throughout the college's recruitment campaign, including prospectuses, bus stop advertisement boards and billboards across Rochdale.
