Fashion show for charity

Date published: 09 October 2007

An evening of fashion, a night to help you shake off the summer and head into autumn with a chance to see the latest inspiring looks. The Fashion Show is in aid of local charity, Rochdale Childer and the breast cancer prevention charity, The Genesis Appeal.

Jennifer Shaw of Jennifer Shaw Events decided to stage the fashion show in support of her chosen charity as Lady Captain of Manchester Golf Club, Rochdale Childer, and the Genesis Appeal because the Captain of Manchester Golf Club and his family were affected by breast cancer last year.

The Genesis Appeal is the only breast cancer charity in the UK entirely dedicated to prevention.  They have built Europe’s first purpose-built breast cancer prevention centre which opened at Wythenshawe Hospital in Manchester in summer 2007.

The appeal is continuing its major fundraising campaign to help facilitate the new centre and to support the pioneering research and education projects which will be based there.

The Fashion Show is hosted by Denis Hope at Manchester Golf Club, Rochdale Road, Middleton, M24 6QP at 7.30p for 8pm on Tuesday 23 October 2007.  Tickets are just £7.50 and can be booked through Jennifer Shaw Events on 01706 717919 and Denis Hope, Drake Street, Rochdale on 01706 649264.

People wanting to make donations to the Genesis Appeal can contact the office on 08700 62 3000 or donate online at:
