Fight breaks out at town centre Jobcentre
Date published: 19 February 2009
A fight broke out at the Jobcentre Plus in Rochdale town centre this afternoon (Thursday 19 February).
A heavy police presence was required after a gang of youths chased a client into the centre on Fleece Street.
The fight, which occurred at around 2.30pm, was quickly broken up by police.
A spokesperson for Jobcentre Plus said: "This was only a minor incident - nobody was injured. Obviously this gang had their own reasons for chasing this man into the premises. None of the staff from Jobcentre Plus were involved."
