Four arrested in police immigration raid

A fast food take away manager has been arrested after police found suspected immigrants crammed in his upstairs bedroom.
Officers raided Chop Suey House on Halifax Road, Hurstead on 23 January where they arrested four people, three males and one female, in connection with immigration offences.
The fast food outlet is is displaying a notice thanking customers for their support over the last 17 years and says the shop is closed due to 'staffing problems' and will remain closed for the next few months.
A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police said: “Officers raided the premises on 23 January after reports that immigrants were living there.
“It is a matter which has been passed onto the immigration service”.
